Availability
Joel schedules programs from 1 week to 1 year or more
in advance. For best results, the best way to choose
a program date is to call about 2 to 4 months ahead
of time and:
1 - Check specific dates (example: “March 3, 2008” or “June 17, 2008”)
2 - Simply specify a month or a week (example: “Any weekday in March” or “Sometime during the week of Monday, June 16”)
3 - Either way, Joel will work with you to choose a program date suitable for everyone involved.

Special Notes
• To help both Michigan’s Library and
Performer Communities, Joel Tacey “runs the
sound” each year for the MLA’s Spring
Institute Performer’s Showcase and every few
years, he takes part in the Showcase to give a
sneak-peak of his programs.
• Joel also helps Library Cooperatives organize “in-house” Performer Showcases for their members. These showcases are a great opportunity for librarians to catch a glimpse of a variety of performers and get a chance to meet them face to face without traveling across the state. Best of all, everyone can save time and money by working together to “block book” performers. Showcases are usually planned in October/November and take place in January and February. To have your cooperative host a showcase, please contact Joel anytime.
