About Joel Tacey

Inspired by the Vaudeville Performers of long ago, Joel Tacey began entertaining at an early age. He performed his first professional show at the age of 12 for a local church to the tune of a whopping $10 (plus all of the cookies and orange drink he could handle).

As Joel near the end of his high school tenure, he kept entertaining only as a hobby and decided to become a civil engineer. After two years at Michigan Technological University and an internship with the Michigan Department of Transportation, it became clear to Joel that he did not want to take this route. He finished MTU with a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and Management and set out to start a company.

This is when he came up with starting a full-time entertainment company; Oblivion Productions. Current Holdings include AssemblyCentral.com (an educational assembly booking agency),
The High Five Guys (Michigan's ONLY Professional Stilt Walking Troupe), and of course his own show, The Joel Tacey Comedy Variety Show.

Joel can be seen performing regularly throughout the Mid-West at events of all sizes from County Fairs and City Festivals to Corporate Events and Company Picnics.
